Clear process. Careful handling.

Trust & Safety.

ScamWatch is a community reporting tool. We aim to make case status, staff expectations, and the use of your information easy to understand.

Report status

What each case result means

Case status reflects the current review outcome, not a guarantee about a person or transaction.

Under review

Staff have received the report and are checking the information and evidence. A report in this state is not a finding of wrongdoing.

Resolved

Staff have completed the case and recorded a conclusion. Read the case details and staff note for the context of that result.

Unresolved

The parties could not reach a solution. Staff have completed their review and recorded a conclusion in the case details.

Dismissed

The report did not meet the evidence standard, was a duplicate, or could not be handled as a ScamWatch case.

Moderation policy

Evidence first, respect throughout.

  • Submit accurate information and public proof links that staff can review.
  • Do not post private personal data, threats, harassment, or fabricated evidence.
  • Staff may request clarification, hide unsuitable replies, lock discussion threads, or dismiss duplicate and unsupported reports.
  • Public discussion must stay focused on the case. A report is not a licence to target or harass anyone.

Privacy note

Share only what is needed for review.

A report records the submitted case details, proof links, and your Discord account information so staff can review and follow up. The public report overview hides reporter details and private staff information.

Before submitting, remove passwords, recovery codes, payment credentials, home addresses, and other sensitive information from screenshots and links.

Before you submit

Be specific. Be factual. Include proof.

Clear dates, Discord IDs, a concise timeline, and reviewable evidence give staff the best chance of handling a case fairly.
